Meet The Exec
MMU CU is all about unity and people working together to spread the Good News on campus. That being said, it does help to have a core group of people who are willing and able to put time and effort into planning each CU meeting, putting on events and going to training in order to serve the CU better. For this reason, the Exec have been nominated to represent the CU and are all fully committed to the vision that we as students can make a difference on campus.
Bethan - President
Hi I'm Bethan - I'm a third year studying ceramics as part of my three-dimensional design course and I also love singing and sewing. CU has been a great opportunity for me to learn how to tell my friends about Jesus, and I'm excited to share this passion with new CU members!
Ivan - Vice President
My name is Ivan, I'm now a third year Language student, besides uni I also love playing drums and enjoy travelling.
I hope to be part of the CU growth as it has been growing over the years. I've made great friends and loved seeing others come to know Christ.
Esther - Secretary
Hey I’m Esther, a second year Wildlife Biology student at MMU (originally from Worcester!). CU has been a place where I have grown in my faith massively. I have also met some ace people there and no matter how my week has been I can come to a meeting and find God’s grace in all its varying forms - that’s why I love CU!
Chris - Treasurer
Hey! I'm Chris, a second year Youth Work student from Derbyshire! I love playing guitar, taking photographs and watching films. The Christian Union has been a great support to me in first year, its a great place to meet other Christians from the university and make some amazing friends!
Sarah - Events Coordinator
Hello! I'm Sarah and I'm in my second year studying Primary Education at MMU. I'm originally from Chorley (not too far north of Manchester). I play guitar and sing, both of which I use at CU now and then! One of the things I love about CU is how welcoming it is, especially at the start of the year when everything's new and exciting/terrifying!
